NEW PATIENT QUESTIONS
No referral is required to see a chiropractor. You can schedule an appointment directly with Kinach Chiropractic without needing approval from your primary care physician.
Many patients come to our office when they are dealing with pain that is limiting their ability to work out, play sports, or stay active. If you’re experiencing pain, stiffness, or reduced mobility, (often due to muscular issues that aren't fully addressed at Urgent Care) it’s appropriate to schedule an evaluation to determine the underlying cause and begin treatment.
If needed, we will coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.
Kinach Chiropractic focuses on treating muscle, joint, and movement-related pain, especially for active adults and athletes.

A full list of Conditions Treated at our clinic can be viewed here
Our approach focuses on identifying the root cause of pain, not just temporarily reducing symptoms.
Your first visit is designed to fully understand what is causing your pain and create a personalized treatment plan.
New patient visits last approximately 60 minutes and include:
A detailed conversation about your pain and activity level
Orthopedic and movement assessments
Evaluation of muscle function and joint mobility
Identification of movement restrictions contributing to your pain
In most cases, treatment begins during the first visit and may include:
Muscle therapy (ART or soft tissue work)
Chiropractic adjustments
Mobility exercises
Corrective exercise recommendations
The goal is to start relieving pain while also addressing the underlying issue causing it.
Your initial appointment is one hour long.
This extended visit allows enough time to perform a detailed examination, understand your goals, and begin treatment. Many patients appreciate the longer appointment because it allows us to evaluate the entire movement system rather than only the painful area.
Follow-up visits are typically 30 minutes.
Yes. Kinach Chiropractic specializes in treating active adults, gym-goers, and athletes who want to stay active without pain.

Yes. In many cases, early treatment leads to faster recovery.
When pain first appears, it is often related to muscle tightness, joint restriction, or movement imbalance. Addressing these issues early can help prevent the problem from becoming chronic or more difficult to treat.
If you have had pain for a few days to a few weeks, chiropractic care can often help reduce symptoms and restore normal movement quickly.
TREATMENT & TECHNIQUES
Kinach Chiropractic takes a whole-body, movement-based approach to treating pain.
Rather than focusing only on the area that hurts, we evaluate how the entire body is moving. Pain in one area is often caused by restrictions or weaknesses somewhere else in the body.
Treatment often includes a combination of:
Active Release Technique (ART) muscle therapy
Chiropractic adjustments
Graston / IASTM soft tissue work
Movement assessment and correction
Personalized exercise recommendations
Appointments are longer than many traditional chiropractic visits, allowing us to focus on both treatment and long-term correction.
No. Adjustments are just one part of treatment.
Most visits involve a combination of:
Muscle therapy
Soft tissue work
Joint adjustments
Movement correction
Mobility exercises
This comprehensive approach helps address the underlying cause of pain rather than only the symptoms.
Active Release Technique (ART) is a specialized soft tissue treatment used to address tight muscles, scar tissue, and restricted movement.
During ART treatment, the chiropractor applies targeted pressure to a muscle while guiding it through specific movements. This helps break up adhesions in the tissue and restore normal muscle function.
ART is commonly used to treat conditions such as:
Shoulder pain
Tennis elbow
Hip pain
Sciatica
Sports-related muscle injuries
Many athletes find ART extremely helpful for improving mobility and reducing pain. Our treatments are what professional athletes use in the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB and more.
Yes. Muscle treatment and corrective exercises are an important part of care at Kinach Chiropractic.
In addition to hands-on treatment, patients are often given simple exercises designed to improve mobility and strength. These exercises help reinforce the treatment performed in the office and support long-term results.
The goal is not only to relieve pain but also to help prevent the problem from returning.
In many cases, yes and mostly in the form of an email with written direction and in some cases a Youtube video to follow along.
Simple mobility or strengthening exercises may be recommended to help reinforce treatment and improve recovery. These exercises are typically quick to perform and designed to support the specific issue being treated.
Patients who follow their exercise recommendations often see faster and longer-lasting results.
Treatment focuses on the entire body and how it moves together.
Pain often appears in one area even though the true cause may be somewhere else. For example, hip restrictions can contribute to lower back pain, or shoulder problems may originate from poor upper back or scapular mobility.
Evaluating the entire movement system helps identify the root cause of pain and improves long-term outcomes.
Pain, Results & Care Plans
The number of visits varies depending on the condition and how long symptoms have been present.
Many patients begin noticing improvement within 3–4 visits, which often occurs within the first month of care. We often focus a trial of care for 4-6 weeks with 1 visit per week. If pain is severe, we would likely see you 2x/week for the first week or two to decrease your pain as best we can.
Some conditions require additional visits to fully resolve the issue and restore proper movement. The goal is always to resolve the problem as efficiently as possible.
Many patients experience noticeable improvement within the first few visits.
This may include:
Reduced pain
Improved mobility
Increased comfort during activity
Because treatment addresses both muscle and joint function, improvements often build progressively over several visits.
Most chiropractic treatments are comfortable and well tolerated.
Some patients may experience mild soreness after treatment, similar to how muscles can feel after exercise. This is typically temporary and often resolves within a day.
Treatment techniques are always modified based on each patient's comfort level.
Not all chiropractic care is the same.
Some clinics focus primarily on adjustments, while others incorporate additional treatment methods. Kinach Chiropractic combines muscle therapy, movement assessment, and corrective exercise to address multiple contributing factors.
Many patients who did not see results elsewhere respond well to this more comprehensive approach.
Yes. Many patients seek care for pain that has been recurring for months or even years.
Chronic pain often develops due to long-standing movement restrictions, muscle imbalances, or previous injuries. Identifying and correcting these underlying issues can significantly improve symptoms.
The goal is not only to reduce pain but also to improve the way the body moves and functions long term.
The focus is on both relieving pain and correcting the underlying cause.
Short-term relief is important, but long-term results require improving movement patterns, muscle function, and joint mobility.
Patients are often given tools and exercises that help them maintain their results and stay active without recurring pain.

Safety & Comfort
Chiropractic care is widely considered a safe and effective treatment for musculoskeletal pain when performed by a licensed chiropractor.
Treatment techniques are always selected based on the patient’s condition, health history, and comfort level.
Yes. Chiropractic care can be very beneficial for older adults when performed by a licensed chiropractor.
Treatment techniques are always adapted based on the patient’s health history, mobility, and comfort level. In many cases, care focuses on gentle adjustments, soft tissue treatment, and mobility work designed to help improve joint movement and reduce stiffness.
Many older adults seek chiropractic care to help maintain mobility, stay active, and continue enjoying daily activities without unnecessary pain.
This is very common, especially for patients who have never received chiropractic care before.
All treatments are explained before they are performed, and techniques can be modified based on comfort level. In many cases, treatment begins with muscle therapy and movement work before adjustments are introduced.
The goal is always to ensure patients feel comfortable and confident with their care.
Absolutely. Patient comfort is always a priority during treatment.
Techniques can be modified depending on your condition, experience with chiropractic care, and personal preferences.
Some patients prefer a more gradual approach that focuses on muscle therapy and mobility work first, while others are comfortable beginning with adjustments right away.
Your care plan is always customized to fit your needs and comfort level.
Lifestyle & Performance
Yes. Many athletes use chiropractic care to help improve mobility, movement efficiency, and recovery.
When joints and muscles are functioning properly, the body is able to move more efficiently and tolerate physical activity with less strain.
Improved mobility can often translate to better performance and reduced injury risk.

Maintaining activity while recovering is often beneficial when done appropriately.
Yes. Many patients at Kinach Chiropractic are active adults who enjoy working out, playing sports, or staying physically active outside of work.
These “weekend warriors” often deal with issues such as muscle tightness, overuse injuries, or joint stiffness from activities like strength training, running, hockey, golf, or recreational sports. Treatment focuses on restoring mobility, improving muscle function, and helping patients return to activity as quickly and safely as possible.
The goal is to help you stay active and continue doing the activities you enjoy without pain limiting your performance.
