Golf Swing Tune-Up: Play Better, Move Better, Feel Better

For many golfers, the course isn’t just a pastime—it’s a place to compete, relax, and recharge. But when stiffness, aches, or swing inconsistencies start creeping in, that weekend tee time can quickly become more frustrating than fun. The good news? You don’t always need to spend extra hours on the driving range to improve your game—sometimes, the real fix starts with your body.

As a TPI Certified Sports Chiropractor, I specialize in helping golfers unlock better performance through movement. The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) approach is all about identifying physical limitations—like tight hips, poor thoracic mobility, or weak core stability—that could be interfering with your swing mechanics. More practice won’t fix these issues, but targeted mobility, strength work, and hands-on care can.
Many golfers struggle with areas of the body that directly affect their swing:
Hip mobility: Limited rotation can lead to compensation and back pain.
Thoracic spine stiffness: Poor upper back mobility restricts smooth follow-through.
Core dysfunction: Weak core control reduces power and consistency.

The solution? Start by incorporating daily mobility drills—like pelvic tilts, thoracic openers, World's Greatest and hamstring stretches—to restore proper range of motion and reduce strain. Pair these with muscle activation exercises like bird dogs and glute bridges to build the strength and stability needed for a more efficient swing. If you are looking for a hip mobility routine already, you can follow along here!

Even just 10 minutes a day can create noticeable changes in how you move and feel on the course.
If pain or stiffness is still holding you back, sports chiropractic care can make a significant difference. With muscle work, spinal adjustments, and personalized rehab exercises, I help golfers restore movement, relieve tension, and build long-term resilience—so you can get back to playing the game you love, pain-free.
Whether you're chasing lower scores or simply looking to swing comfortably all season, remember: your body is part of your golf equipment—keep it tuned up.
